Our Wedding Day

It had been raining in the morning, so we had some serious last minute decisions to make. But now things were looking up .... and..... it was a beautiful day along the Hudson River!!

Tim Keiper and his Malian Dusun'goni greets the guests with ancient mystical sounds...

The day is really shaping up, as our guests take advantage of the beautiful surroundings at Sunnyside.

Thea and Mark Fefer, all the way from Seattle. Clearly not used to the bright sunshine!

Mark, with cousins Jenny and Scotty Nicoll, from Florida and California, respectively.

Mark's wife, Michelle and daughter Syma, right out of a John Singer Sargent portrait!

Basking in the limelight before a last minute run-thru for the ring-bearer and proud mom.

They were a huge help before and during the proceedings. Thanks for everything, you guys!!

A great musician, bandmate, and friend, Gbatokai and his wife Keven honored us with their presence. We're so glad they did!

Doug, Mikel, and Paula are not just talented and righteous beings---they look good too!!

Jennifer, Gillian, and Valerie---looking lovely and poised before the procession.

Bride's childhood friend, Anna, and cousin Fabrizia, all the way from Sardigna!! It wouldn't have been the same without them...

An artist friend who was a big help and made the Bride feel at home at the famed Art Student's League of New York.

Tim continues to bless the proceedings, providing beautiful sounds in keeping with the surroundings....

Adam and the Groom have made great music together for years. Matt has been a friend on sea and on land....

Elisa, Andrea, Marco, and Ori --- two couples looking good under the shade of a tree...

Alice, Alberto, Anita, and Bianca, made the long trip from Italy, which was hugely meaningful for the Bride. Alice also blessed us by signing the Katubah...

Behaving themselves and looking adorable at the same time!

And they got along famously....

Emilia...... that's who!!

Dave, Iose, and Michelle with their latest additions to the family, Eli and Enea.

Joseph, Michelle, Emilia, and Enea.

All the way from Kansas City. Thanks, it meant so much to have you with us!!

"You don't say?!" John, Paola, and Huda make up for lost time...

A good friend, and dedicated saxophone student!! He knows which way the wind blows....

Mac Cheever and Herb Singer, longtime friends of the groom and his father, made the trip from the two Washingtons. Thanks. You know it meant a lot!!

Lorenza arrives and is immediately sought after by her legions of fans....

has such small hands... Liana Madeline, of Igal and Reut fame, was a cute and crucial part of the proceedings!!

An Italian greeting, and perhaps some secret recipes being whispered...?

Emilia presents the Groom with a bouquet...

The Groom and his Brother share a moment looking over the proceedings, following the signing of the Katubah. In the background, the Bride prepares for the Procession..

Avram and right-hand man, Brian Shuman, share a laugh as guests gather for the Procession....

For Aunt Phyllis and the other early birds already in the Ceremonial Tent along the Hudson, dress rehearsal for Qadira, the ring-bearer, is a lesson in concentration and a preview of what's to come...

Nothing like a perfect dress rehearsal to relax the 3 year old psyche and give a feeling of confidence to the crowd!!

Tim keeps the beautiful vibes going as we prepare to begin the Wedding Procession. Words can't describe how much his music meant to us that day.... From the moment we arrived we know everything was going to be Just Right....

"Great friends and family, beautiful music in a gorgeous setting, and a lovely Bride to top it all off!! Am I lucky or what?!" The Groom can barely contain himself....

Such a beautiful ritual----we are so glad to have done it and to have shared it with everyone!!

The Chuppa is in the steady hands of Austin Nelson, the first New York City friend of the groom following his arrival from Paris.

Sasha, Emilia, and Anita follow closely behind the Bride and Groom. Skipping, giggling, and carrying flowers, of course...

Looking to the future.... the ceremonial tent, along the river, to our right....

We approach the Ceremonial Tent and the Bride begins to realize that the sides of the tent are still up... contrary to her specific directions!!

The groom's Aunt Phyllis, and Keven, watch from the tent as the wedding party approaches...

Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Barney Feldman---guests of honor (and married 65 years!)---wait patiently near the tent as the wedding couple approaches ....

A pause in the action as the tent is being prepared. Last moments of bachelorhood for the Groom, while the Bride explains the proceedings to interested parties.

The Bride addresses her fan base directly, assuring them of her undying loyalty and continuing friendship.

The Groom fulfills his duty overseeing the tent side removal, thereby passing his final test as Fiance and ensuring the continuance of the proceedings. There shall be Marriage.

A view of the beautiful Hudson River as the guests are seated... Just out of view, a couple grey clouds are approaching.... hmmmmm....

Marco Cappelli welcomes the guests and sets the tone for the ceremony. We are so lucky to have such talented and generous friends!

Only the best Ring-Bearers understand the concentration and preparation involved in a proper ceremony. Clearly, Huda and Ethan's daughter, Qadira, is one of these select few!

Chuppah holders Michael Bisio and Scotty Nicoll, as well as Rabbi Burt and the Mother of the Groom keep an eye out for the Wedding Couple....
